Our story starts with our founder, Dr Vincent Candrawinata and his breakthrough research at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He invented technology to extract and activate phenolic antioxidants from plants, specifically apples, without the use of any chemical solvents. His research unlocked the potential of natural bioactives and it changed the game in the world of antioxidants. And it all started when Dr. Vincent Candrawinata tested out his research on his grandmother Rianita. A former ballroom dancer, Rianita was unable to walk comfortably due to debilitating pain in her knee. She had been nearly immobile and was hesitant to have surgery when he visited her in Indonesia with samples of Activated Phenolics that he had produced as part of his PhD research. Three months later, when she was visiting him in Sydney, she enthusiastically walked 2 miles around the city without pain.
